About the Idaho Lottery
Created in 1988, the Idaho Lottery raises money for the state’s public schools and permanent buildings fund. The Idaho Lottery set a new industry record when it started out by successfully launching a lottery in less than 200 days.
Since its inception, the Idaho Lottery has paid out over $1.77 billion in prizes and raised $869 million for Idaho’s public schools and buildings.
Idaho Lottery Tickets
You can get Idaho Lottery tickets at any of the 1,200+ authorized retailers all over the state. Winning players have 180 days to claim their prizes.
Can I buy ID Lottery tickets online?
No. State laws forbid the purchase of lottery tickets online or through mail. You’ll have to buy your tickets in person from authorized retailers near you.

Idaho Lottery Games and Drawing Schedules
Lucky for Life
Idaho is also part of Lucky for Life, a multi-state lottery played in over 20+ other states, including New Hampshire, Delaware, and Montana.
Lucky for Life players must pick 5 numbers from 1-48 and a Lucky Ball number from 1-18. To win the jackpot, players have to match all 6 winning numbers. This gets them $1,000 a day for life. Second-prize winners, meanwhile, win $25,000 a year for life by matching all 5 regular winning numbers but not the Lucky Ball.
Lucky for Life draws take place every Monday and Thursday.
Lotto America
The Idaho Lottery offers Lotto America, a multi-state draw game, alongside other states like New Mexico and Kansas. Lotto America carries a rollover jackpot that starts at $2 million and grows with every draw until somebody wins.
To play, you must select 5 numbers from 1-52 and another number (the Star Ball digit) from 1-10. You must match all the winning draw numbers to win the jackpot prize. Players can also pay an extra $1 for the All-Star Bonus, which multiplies any prizes (except the jackpot) by the multiplier drawn for the day.
Lotto America draws are held every Wednesday and Saturday.
Weekly Grand
Weekly Grand is an Idaho-exclusive lottery game that grants jackpot winners $1000 per week for a year, tax-free. Participating players must pick 5 numbers from 1 to 32. To win the jackpot, you must match all 5 winning draw numbers.
Weekly Grand draws are held every Wednesday and Saturday.
Idaho Cash
Idaho Cash is an Idaho-exclusive lottery game. It offers a rolling jackpot that starts at $20,000 and grows with every draw until somebody wins. To play, you must pick 5 numbers from 1-45. Your chosen numbers must match all 5 winning draw numbers to win you the jackpot prize.
Idaho Cash draws are held every Wednesday and Saturday.
Pick 3
The Idaho Pick 3 lottery runs two draws per day (one at midday and one in the evening). Each draw carries a fixed jackpot of $500. However, your maximum possible prize will depend on your chosen playstyle.
To play, you must pick a number from 000 to 999. Then, you must select a playstyle and bet value. Matching all the winning draw numbers in exact order will get you the highest jackpot ($500).
You can choose from the following playstyles:
- Exact Order: You must match the winning numbers in the exact order.
- Any Order: You can match the winning numbers in any order.
- Exact / Any: You can match the winning numbers in any order or in exact order.
- Front or Back Pair: You pick 2 numbers instead of 3. Depending on your chosen pair type, your numbers must match either the first 2 or the last 2 winning numbers in exact order.
